Description: The Oil Separator has been around almost as long as government-mandated PCV systems on automobiles, but never have they looked this good! As the manufacturer for many of the oil separators that are available on the market today, we decided to offer a SilverHorse Racing edition direct to you at substantial savings! 100% Machined on our newest CNC mill-turn center, including even the included aluminum anodized barb fittings, the SilverHorse Racing Tru-Billet oil separators are the result of over two years of testing and modeling in advanced airflow software. The result is among the lightest billet oil separators on the market that fits where many can’t. Available in three different head designs, we’ve got almost every installation imaginable covered. Speaking of installation, on most vehicles this only takes moments, splicing into the factory PCV hose that leads from your PCV valve back to your intake manifold downstream of the throttle body since our unit is so light. An included 50 micron mesh filter in the head helps to keep solid particles from reentering the intake. If you do not want to splice into your factory hose, we do offer pre-cut factory hoses with fittings already installed for some more popular models for an additional charge.
On more complex or custom installs, we do offer a universal mounting kit which includes 2-way billet mounting adapter as well as 48″ of oil-resistant hose and universal clamps. The head accepts standard 3/8-18 NPT fittings if the supplied aluminum 0.600″ barb fittings will not work on your application. Questions on an install? We’re here to help! Either call or email us, and we can walk you through identifying the correct hose to splice into, as well as more details about how our unit works. For reference purposes: * 2005-10 Mustang 4.6 uses a Straight-thru 180 degree head on the driver’s side * 2005-10 Roush Supercharged Mustangs use a Straight-thru 180 degree head on driver’s side (re-use Roush-supplied hose) * 2011-14 Mustang 5.0 uses 90 degree on the passenger side * When selecting units for other applications, remember that the flow goes from the PCV valve (normally on valve cover) to the intake manifold aft of the throttle body. The 1050-4 design will allow you to configure the inlet and outlet in any one of four directions depending on your needs. All units come with our SHR laser-engraving at no additional charge. Custom engraving options are available.
