    Our first open house held on March 21st was an overwhelming success, and we'd like to thank all of our friends, customers, and guests that made it happen.  The event drew more than thirty cars, and guests were treated to a tour of our current manufacturing facility with our machines in full production of our new door switch plates and climate control knob kits.  With Darcy handling registration for the raffle prizes, Carl on machining duty, and Nickoli on grill, owner Marcello Canitano had time to meet with guests and talk shop on what turned out to be a beautiful, sunny Spring day in Central Florida.

Also at the open house, all three SilverHorse Racing Mustangs were on display, from the 1973 Mach 1 through our 2005 GT product development car.  The 05 was sporting its completely new suspension & brake package that is manufactured by Agent 47 and AP Racing - both products that we offer through our webstore, while riding on a brand new set of custom Ray's Precision 2 piece 19" wheels and Toyo Proxes T1R tires.   Also on the 2005 were the prototype set of Tru-Billet Replacement door switch plates, which are wrapping up production today, and strangely missing were the door lock pockets... we wonder what the R&D guys are up to now?

If you'd like to see more pictures from our first open house, please click HERE to view our show photo gallery page.  Greg Clark from Modified Mustangs & Fords magazine was on hand shooting a bunch of photos as well, so be sure to check out their site as well for an update from them as well.  They just released their May 2009 issue, which has our louvers on the cover, as well as a Dan Gurney Saleen Mustang, which we produce the fuel doors for.  Our new Tru-Billet door switch plates are almost ready, and pre-order customer's parts are already at our finishers getting a choice of anodize or triple-chrome plating.  Speaking of chrome plating - we're upping the ante once again to insure that when you buy products from SilverHorse Racing, you're buying the best U.S. made products available.  We now have a new chrome plating facility that is able to have our parts pass a 66 hour CASS salt spray test, which exceeds both GM and Ford specifications by over 22 hours!  This equates to over 5 years of beachside use without corrosion!  This six layer chrome process is now being applied to all of our exterior Tru-Billet products that are listed as Chrome Plated with no increase in cost, so that we can continue to stand behind our products long after "the other guys" have disappeared with your money.

In other news, Ford has supplied SilverHorse Racing with the 3D CAD files for the all new 2010 Mustang, so we can start pre-production work on upgrades for Ford's latest pony in advance of it being released.  Since almost everything has changed on the new car, most of our current products will not fit the new body, but you can be sure we're planning updates to many of our products to continue bringing our quality to the Mustang aftermarket.  We also have been busy making upgrades to our in-house manufacturing capability, with upgrades to our already state-of-the-art automation now on the way to help us more effectively utilize our CNC milling and turning equipment.  The result will be that we should be able to get more products to market in less time, while maintaining the level of quality our customers have come to expect from us.
