The news channel has been slow for quite some time from the camp at
SilverHorse Racing, but it wasn't because we weren't busy, to the
contrary, we have never been busier! Since our last news update, we
have moved to our new location, strategically located near I-95 in
Melbourne Florida. Our new facility, at almost twice the square
footage of our old manufacturing shop in Palm Bay, is stocked full of new
equipment sourced from our primary sponsor Arthur Machinery,
and we're programming our new parts with the latest version of FeatureCAM
from our sponsors at
ProFORCE Integrated Solutions.
With our new production U.S. made Milltronics milling center and DoALL
production saw in place, we're producing the best products possible in a
shorter period of time than ever before, further enhancing our competitive
edge while keeping jobs and manufacturing here in the USA. No sooner
we put our new machines in place, we had an unofficial open-house with the
"Pony Drive" group when they stopped by to see our new digs.
Everyone who was in attendance was treated to a tour and snacks, along
with the opportunity to meet our crew and try out our racing simulator.
Of course, immediately following that event our crew had to scatter, as
Palm Bay was the city in Florida that almost burned to the ground in May,
and that's where almost all of our employees call home. Safe from
the fire danger with only some crispy lawns and trees, the crew got back
to work to catch us up after being down for almost a month during our
move.
Driver and company owner Marcello Canitano has been busy as well
throughout our growth. Between day-to-day operations, SilverHorse
Racing recently sponsored the Auto-X at SuperStangFest in Rockingham,
North Carolina. While on hand for the event, Marcello got behind the
wheel of the #05 development car and really hung it out for the magazine
photographers on hand from 5.0,
Mustang Enthusiast magazine,
and Modified Magazine.
Next month we will be at Mustang Week in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and
then the #05 car is going into a garage cocoon so to speak for a
transformation.
The transformation of the #05 car is more of an evolutionary change, as we
will be exhibiting in our own booth this year at the SEMA show in
Las Vegas, Nevada! The #05 car will be stripped from top to bottom,
with new paint, body components, drivetrain, suspension, and interior
upgrades as all part of the planned changes. The result should be a
show-stopper at this year's premier event in the automotive aftermarket.
Almost immediately following, we will be attending the PRI show, in
Orlando Florida, which is where all the hardcore racing components and
companies go to showcase their new products.
Meanwhile, our #93 Coupe has been moved to our new shop as well, and will
be getting a new engine and upgrades prior to returning to the track later
this year. While she's been out of contention for the SCCA
southeastern championship for some time with our focus on our #05 car, we
are looking forward to getting her back into competitive trim and
returning to the track where we do some of our best product innovation.
If you're in the Melbourne / Orlando area, please feel free to stop by our
new facility for a tour. While we're still getting settled in, we're
happy to show guests how we produce the products that are now seen in so
many magazines and on Mustangs around the world right here in the USA!
And who knows what goodies we might have for our guests making the trip!!
